Forge Solitaire

Forge Solitaire is Klondike solitaire dressed in EchoForge's dark theme with gold accents. The rules are the ones you know. Deal seven tableau columns, flip cards from the stock, and build four foundation piles from Ace to King by suit. It's the same game that's lived on desktops for decades, polished for modern browsers.

The game supports draw-one and draw-three modes. Draw-one lets you see every card in the stock and is more forgiving. Draw-three is the classic challenge — you can only reach every third card, so you'll need to plan ahead. Stats tracking shows your win rate, best times, and current streak.

Klondike Solitaire — the version most people just call "Solitaire" — showed up in North America during the Yukon Gold Rush of the late 1890s. Miners played it by candlelight in tents. The game spread from prospector camps into parlors all over the continent. By 1900 it was part of American card culture, but it stayed a quiet pastime for most of the next century.

Its global explosion came in 1990. Microsoft shipped a digital version with Windows 3.0. Internal documents later showed that Solitaire was bundled on purpose to teach users the mouse — dragging a card was a whole generation's first lesson with a pointing device. By some counts, it's the most-played video game of all time.
