About This Game
Arcane Eights is a Crazy Eights card game with EchoForge's mystical visual theme. The goal is simple: be the first to play all your cards. On your turn, play a card that matches the suit or rank of the top card on the discard pile. Eights are wild — play them on anything and declare the new suit.
The AI opponent plays strategically, saving Eights for critical moments and tracking which suits you're collecting. The game tracks points across multiple rounds (cards left in the loser's hand count against them), and special card effects add variety: draw-twos force the next player to pick up, and Jacks skip the opponent's turn.
How to Play
- Match the top card on the discard pile by suit or rank
- Play an Eight on anything — then choose the suit for the next player
- Draw from the stock pile if you can't play
- Special cards: 2s force opponent to draw 2, Jacks skip their turn
- First player to empty their hand wins the round
- Remaining cards in the loser's hand score penalty points
