About This Game
Barricade Run is a competitive light-cycle game inspired by Tron. You and your opponent leave trails of light as you move across the grid — and touching any trail means instant elimination. The goal is to outmaneuver your opponent, forcing them to crash into your trail, their own trail, or the arena walls.
The AI opponent adapts to your play style. It starts cautiously but becomes more aggressive as games progress, cutting closer to your trail and setting up traps. The arena can be configured in different sizes, and power-ups occasionally spawn on the grid, granting speed boosts or temporary trail erasure.
How to Play
- Your light-cycle moves forward automatically, leaving a trail behind
- Turn left or right to change direction — you cannot stop or reverse
- Avoid hitting any trail (yours or the opponent's) and the arena walls
- Force your opponent into a crash by cutting off their escape routes
- Collect power-ups that appear on the grid for temporary advantages
Tips & Strategy
Claim territory early by making wide loops near the center
Cut across the opponent's path to limit their space
Don't hug walls — leave yourself an escape route
Speed boost power-ups are best used to cut off an opponent, not to run away
