Farkle
Push your luck — bank points or risk losing them all
About This Game
Farkle is a push-your-luck dice game where you roll six dice and score points for specific combinations. After each roll, you must set aside at least one scoring die, then decide: bank your accumulated points for the turn, or roll the remaining dice for more? The catch is that if a roll produces no scoring dice at all, you Farkle — and lose every point accumulated that turn.
The race to 10,000 points creates constant tension. When you're behind, you need to push hard and risk farkles. When you're ahead, the safe play is to bank moderate scores. But the game's best moments come from hot streaks: if you score with all six dice, you pick them all up and keep rolling (a "hot dice" bonus that can lead to massive single-turn scores).
How to Play
- Roll all six dice to begin your turn
- Set aside scoring dice: 1s (100 pts), 5s (50 pts), three-of-a-kind, straights, etc.
- After setting aside scorers, choose: Bank your points or roll remaining dice
- If you roll and NO dice score, you Farkle — lose all points from that turn
- If all six dice score, pick them all up and keep rolling (hot dice!)
- First player to reach 10,000 points wins
