About This Game
Memory Grid is a visual memory challenge from the IQ Forge series. Each round reveals a grid of face-down cards bearing symbol pairs. You flip two cards at a time — if they match, they stay revealed. If not, they flip back, and you must remember their positions. Clear all pairs to complete the round.
The grid grows with each round: starting at 2x3 (3 pairs) and expanding up to larger grids with more pairs and more symbols to track. Your working memory — the cognitive system responsible for temporarily holding and manipulating information — is directly exercised as the grid complexity increases.
How to Play
- Cards are briefly shown face-up, then flipped face-down
- Click two cards to flip them — if they match, they stay face-up
- If the two cards don't match, they flip back face-down
- Remember where you saw each symbol to make matches efficiently
- Clear all pairs to advance to the next (larger) round
- Complete 10 rounds with as few moves as possible
Tips & Strategy
When you flip a non-match, actively remember both card positions for later
Start with cards you haven't seen rather than randomly flipping known positions
Develop a scanning pattern — work systematically across the grid
On larger grids, group symbols by area to make recall easier
